Euridipides´ Greek tragedy Medea is transposed to Denmark in this 1988 television entry from Lars von Trier. Following Jason´s betrayal of the woman he once loved, Medea vows revenge upon her former lover and the children she has had with him. This tragic retelling is based on a script by silent film master Carl Theodore Dreyer.
